Oklahoma

I never remember how beautiful it is

until I'm barreling down the highway at 80 miles per hour,
and the sky's so beautiful
it makes me want to pray and cry and roll down all the windows
to yell until my voice gives out.

(Or as seen here in the less romantic version...
simultaneously take video and talk on the phone.
Try that in Brooklyn!)

How can you forget? I love life in my Broken Arrow bungalow.

My friend from Virginia scoffed at the the title "Green Country" for northeast Oklahoma, but it's a relative term. He invited me to his summer home on Martha's Vineyard to see real green country. Yea! At least I can get pity for living here.
