Postpartum Pop Quiz

The prenatal fear that you will "break the baby"
is quickly replaced by the fear that:

a) you constantly smell of spoiled milk.
b) the breast pump will scar you
(both emotionally & physically) for life.
c) you will never again wear pants that are not
i) maternity
or ii) intended for sleep and/or yoga.
d) your mind has turned to mush.

e) All of the above!!!

I have heard that breastfeeding literally sucks the intelligence right out of you. I have also heard that this is temporary.

And if it makes you feel any better I am
a) Fairly sure that you don't smell
b) Also in my super comfy velvety elastic-waist pants. And I did not have children.
c) about to put together an Ikea bookcase with my mom. See! You too can do this with Eva in 29+ years!!! Something to look forward to.

I wish I could tell you that the breast pump doesn't scar you emotionally but after 2 years the sound it makes still haunts my dreams. All the others will pass in due time :)

HA! I use to say that they were sucking my smarts out!

Those brain cells don't come back either... and we use to wonder why our mother's couldn't remember our names!?!?

I feel their pain now, and you shall too!!! :)
